Grant Wilson Memorial Award

Each year the Port Industry Association awards one member the Grant Wilson Memorial Award for outstanding contribution to the industry.

The 2024 award was awarded posthumously to Troy Evans who was a captain and pilot in the Port of Tauranga, which nominated him for the award. His leadership in developing global best practice guidelines for trapdoor arrangements in Pilot Boarding systems made a significant impact on the maritime industry worldwide.
